    We are hoping to have a local brewer or distiller on site for a tasting event to showcase some winter spirits, awaiting confirmation, but the spirits are finicky...

    Come on out and join the community for fun and inspiration while drydocked for the winter!

    On this special evening we are inviting our dance instructor to the clubhouse to meet the members and hoping to host a tasting event or a 'Wine and Salsa' feature. We are encouraging people to sign up to help determine numbers.

    COME DANCE WITH US!

    Salsa dance lessons are being offered to ALL club members (young and old) beginning Tuesday, January 13, 2026 for 4 weeks.

    Lesson times are 6:30-8:30, but the bar will be open at 6. Never hurts to get some liquid courage or ensure you are hydrated. Cost to members is $60 per person for the full 4 weeks.

    Salsa is a partner dance, but your partner doesn't need to be a member. Non-member price is $70. Don't have a partner but want to dance, sign up and indicate you need a partner.

    Sign up as soon a possible as class size is limited to 16 people.  Lessons will be taught by a professional dance instructor with an extensive background in dance.

    Suggestions for future lessons during the off season include swing, two step, merengue, hip hop and waltz.  Let us know if you have other suggestions. At this price all classes are based on minimum attendance of 10 people.

    Pleasure Craft Operator Card
    (This is a mandatory requirement to operate a motor on a pleasure craft by Transport Canada)

    Who needs an Operator Card?

    Everyone who operates a power-driven boat needs proof of competency — something that shows they understand the basic rules and how to safely operate a boat. The most common proof of competency is the Pleasure Craft Operator Card. You can get the card by taking a boating safety course in-person or online, and passing the test at the end of the course.

    Prerequisites
    None

    Time:

    4 hour course - in person
    (2 hr Course Content break and  1 hr Exam)

    Course objectives:

    • To improve the safety of all boaters and the boating environment.
    • To get your Pleasure Craft Operator Card as required by the regulation.
    • To learn about your responsibility.
    • To make your boating experience enjoyable for everyone.

    The PCOC Course covers a full range of basic boating information such as:

    • minimum safety equipment requirements required on board your boat;
    • the Canadian Buoy system;
    • how to share waterways;
    • a review of all pertinent regulations;
    • and how to respond in an emergency situation.

    **PLEASE ENSURE YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS ARE CORRECT SO THAT THE CARDS CAN BE SENT TO THE RIGHT PLACE - ($25 EXTRA CHARGE FOR INCORERECT ADDRESS)**

Featuring two players that have played on numerous recordings, and another who has played with symphonies as well as toured with major artists, 40-Love presents a good variety of predominantly classic rock tunes, with a hint of country and blues.
