Mobile Sailing School

Youth learn all the same skills and have the same fun learning environment... but these courses are held on Calgary's community lakes!


These week-long summer camps include land-based and on-the-water education using our Optimist sailboats. These boats are great training sailboats, even for the youngest of children. These week-long, full-day introduction classes provide a fun and safe introduction to the sport of sailing in the Optimist sailboat. All our CANSail courses are taught by Sail Canada accredited instructors.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Our Sailing Camp Package contains details about our sailing lesson programs for parents and participants.

Our sailing instructors arrive at community lakes with all the youth boats and coach boats in an enclosed trailer ready for a week of fun learning to sail.


CANSail 1 (ages 8-13)

is a full day, week long introduction class. The primary focus of this course is to provide a fun and safe introduction to the sport of sailing. There are no prerequisites for this course.
